Spain spends 76% on Watsapp Facebook usage increased by 37%. In China, the use of social media apps has increased by 58%, including Wechat and Weibo.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the largest global study by consumers on attitudes, media habits, and expectations were made by Kantar. It is estimated that WhatsApp usage increased by 27% during the initial pandemic, 41% in the mid-stage and 51% in the later stages.
The most reliable sources of information are traditional nationwide news channels because 52% of people say they are a reliable source.
Only 48 people consider government agency websites to be reliable, which suggests that government actions cannot provide reassurance and protection to citizens.
Similarly, only 11% of people consider social media platforms as trustworthy. According to Kantar, web browsing has increased by 70% in the post-pandemic phase.
TV viewership has increased by 63%, while social media engagement has increased by 61% compared to the average usage rate.
